A Few Things We’re Thankful For

At a global company like Spafax, there’s always a fair amount of good-natured give and take about various holidays. Independence Day here in the US always generates a slew of email traffic about postcolonial kerfuffles.
However, one holiday that seems to be unfailingly admired is Thanksgiving. No matter where you are, it’s always a good idea to pause and reflect on what you’re grateful for. Thanksgiving gives us Americans a chance to do that while, yes, also generally stuffing ourselves.
Thanksgiving also lends itself well to year-end wrap up posts! We have a lot to be grateful for here at Spafax in 2016 – here are just a few.
This one goes without saying, but we’ll say it anyway. We’re fortunate to work with some of the world’s leading brands, especially a number of those that fly airplanes! Just as a sports team can’t do it without their fans, we can’t do without those who have put their trust in us as partners.
This year we added offices in Hong Kong and Dallas to our ever-growing roster of international facilities. As we say: “We are small, but very wide!” Ask anyone on our team, and they will tell you that one of the highlights of their job is working with people from around the world, even if it means the occasional conference call at one in the morning.
Most people discover a new TV show, watch it and move along. Others might take the time to tell their friends. However, when we discover something exciting, we know we’ll be able to share it with thousands of people in the air every day. Give us more, content creators of the world! We can’t get enough!
On more than one occasion, our fellow Spafaxians will surprise the heck out of us with their abilities: speaking languages we didn’t know they spoke, finding time to produce a documentary when we didn’t think they had time to spare, or creating spine-chilling (and award-winning!) Halloween displays. (n.b., we’re looking forward to bringing back “The Secret Lives of Spafaxians” to spafax.com in 2017).
In September, we launched our first edition of the Spafax Group monthly newsletter. We’ve received excellent feedback so far and want to thank our readers for contributing to what’s been a very positive start! We’re thankful to be a part of your inbox every month and we look forward to keeping in touch.
