Air Canada recently introduced 25 percent more content, including Live TV, a wide selection of binge-worthy shows, new release movies, classic favorites, music, audiobooks, and podcasts.

Spafax, a leading global provider of in-flight entertainment and media solutions, is honoured to announce that its client Air Canada has recently won the prestigious APEX Passenger Choice Award for Best Entertainment in North America. Air Canada outperformed competitors including other North American global network carriers to secure the top passenger-voted ranking.

During the 2023 APEX Content Market in Istanbul from April 26-28, Norman Haughton, Kayleigh Hennessey, and Russell Villamor accepted the award, which honours excellence in in-flight entertainment, on behalf of Air Canada.

In partnership with TripIt from Concur, the APEX Passenger Choice Awards serve as distinguished industry accolades, recognizing advancements in seat comfort, cabin service, in-flight entertainment, food and beverage, and Wi-Fi. Anonymous passenger feedback, gathered from over one million flights and nearly 600 airlines worldwide, offers a neutral, third-party perspective on the overall passenger experience.

The longstanding partnership between Spafax and Air Canada began in 1992, with Spafax becoming Air Canada’s IFE Content Service Provider. Since then, the partnership has achieved many key milestones, such as supporting new system launches, implementing content increases, producing safety videos, and supporting content partnerships with the likes of BritBox and Crave. Spafax has also provided Air Canada with aircraft content loading services since 2010 and has published Air Canada enRoute magazine since 1998.

Alex Glavonich, Managing Director of Spafax Canada, said, “We are incredibly proud to have contributed to Air Canada’s success in winning the APEX Passenger Choice Award for Best Entertainment in North America. This accolade speaks to our team’s commitment to delivering the most engaging and innovative content for passengers, ensuring a memorable travel experience. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with Air Canada and pushing the boundaries of in-flight entertainment.”

We are grateful for the hard work and expertise of the Spafax team, and we are excited to keep raising the bar for in-flight entertainment and customer satisfaction in the years to come.
